A back-dated TOMAGOTO:
Volume 137. July 7th.
I've been at the drama shoot from this morning again (jya-)!
We've been shooting a really hot scene from this morning (jya-).
Then, during my break I had a newspaper interview (jya-).
I'm trying my best today (jya-).
Everyone, try your best too (jya-).
Green ranger!
Note 1: I've put “try my/your best” in as a translation for “ganbaru”. This is a uniquely Japanese word, meaning a combination of “good luck” and “work hard”. It's a great word, but it doesn't translate very well!
Note 2: He's ended every sentence with “jya”, and then said the rhyming “green ranger!” at the end. So every sentence rhymes. Classic humour, eh? I'm pretty sure the green ranger (“midorenjaa”) is the green Power Ranger.
